As many of you know, my son has Cystic Fibrosis, a genetic condition that thickens mucus in his body. His mother and I have recessive defective genes that actually helped our northern European ancestors survive cholera. Get two of these genes together and you've got CF. Malaria and sickle cell anemia work the same way in people with African ancestry.
Enter Mo Phillips, an old friend I've mentioned many times before and one of my favorite musicians. He just so happens to write songs kids love!!! Mo does not have CF, but at least two kids he knows and loves do.
On Saturday April 18th Mo is getting together his Spaghetti Pants Dance Band to rock out in support of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Its a great reason for a great big show, and naturally, I'll be sitting in with the band on harmonies, mandolin and tomfoolery.
Purchase presale tickets here now, cuz they are already moving. Bring the kids and boogy!

There's never been a better time to have CF. The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation funds some of the most cutting edge research in the world, and its work has helped more than just people with CF.
Consider making a donation even if you can't make it. Or if you just don't like to boogy. Maybe one day there will be a cure for that too.
